Enabling Notifications

First Time Setup

When you first open the app:

  1. System prompt appears
  2. Tap Allow
  3. Notifications are enabled

If You Missed the Prompt

Open iPhone Settings

Go to your iPhone's Settings app.

Find tahc

Scroll to find tahc in the app list.

Enable notifications

Toggle on Allow Notifications.

Configure options

Choose sounds, badges, banners.

Notification Settings

In the App

Configure which notifications you receive:

  1. Open tahc app
  2. Go to Profile tab
  3. Tap Notification Settings
  4. Toggle each type on/off

Notification Sounds

Custom Sounds

Set different sounds for different alerts:

  1. iPhone Settings > tahc
  2. Tap Sounds
  3. Choose a sound

Distinguishing Alerts

Use different sounds to know at a glance:

  • Urgent (escalation) — Distinctive sound
  • Normal (new message) — Subtle sound
  • Info (assignment) — Default sound

Quiet Hours

Using Do Not Disturb

iPhone's DND respects tahc:

  • Notifications silenced during DND
  • Queued for when DND ends
  • No interruptions at night

Scheduled Quiet Hours

Set your own schedule:

  1. iPhone Settings > Focus
  2. Create a schedule
  3. tahc follows your settings

Business Hours Only

Configure in the tahc app:

  1. Profile > Notification Settings
  2. Enable Business Hours Only
  3. Set your hours
  4. No notifications outside hours

Notification Actions

Quick Actions

From the notification:

  • View — Open conversation
  • Reply — Quick response
  • Dismiss — Clear notification

Reply from Notification

On iOS:

  1. Long press the notification
  2. Pull down to expand
  3. Type quick reply
  4. Send without opening app

Badge Counts

Understanding Badges

The app icon shows:

  • Number of unread items
  • Updates in real-time
  • Clears when you view

Managing Badges

If badges are distracting:

  1. iPhone Settings > tahc
  2. Toggle Badges off
  3. Still get notifications, no number

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Notifications

Check iPhone settings:

  1. Settings > tahc > Notifications
  2. Ensure Allow Notifications is ON
  3. Check sounds and banners

Check app settings:

  1. Open app > Profile > Notification Settings
  2. Verify settings are enabled
  3. Check business hours settings

Check connectivity:

  1. Ensure internet connection
  2. Try force closing and reopening
  3. Sign out and back in

Delayed Notifications

Possible causes:

  • Poor connection
  • Low power mode
  • Background app refresh disabled

Solutions:

  1. Check WiFi/cellular
  2. Disable Low Power Mode
  3. Enable Background App Refresh for tahc

Too Many Notifications

Reduce notification volume:

  1. Disable less important types
  2. Use business hours only
  3. Adjust which events trigger

Use notification summary:

  • iPhone Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary
  • Add tahc to summary
  • Get digest instead of each alert
